Stage One of the property dates from 1925 when the predominantly limestone building of one wing with two levels and a tower was constructed.
Delgany was constructed in a number a stages
spanning a fifty year period. The first stage comprising
a single wing on two levels with its accompanying tower was
completed in 1925. The design commissioned by Harold Armytage
was by well known architect, Desbrowe-Annear, who was responsible
for many of the finer country houses on the Mornington Peninsula.
The original design also included an eight-car garage and
staff quarters in the grounds which was later remodelled
as a spa and gymnasium. |
